Created in 2018, Film Daze is an independent publication and media outlet that provides a platform for the unheard, and underrepresented voices of the film community. Voicing our perspectives on visual media (both film and TV), we seek to challenge the reader’s expectations of what media can convey – past and present. The visual medium elicits strong emotions, and our community of young, diverse writers embraces this climate in sharing with you their passion and unique perspectives on what makes this medium so important to us all.

Film Daze is a reader-supported publication. While both free and paid subscriptions are available, please consider a paid subscription to support our cause and keep us operating.

But in order to keep providing a place of growth for new and upcoming writers we need your support. Most of our staff and guest writers are either full-time students or work full-time that write about film and television simply because of their love and obsession with the craft. For some, we are their first major byline outside of their own personal website/blog, and for others, we are the first site to offer them pay. By accepting their pitches, editing their pieces, and giving our thoughtful feedback we become our writers’ biggest fans and witness firsthand the experiences of a writer who wishes to share their thoughts with the world.

With your support, you can make a dream a reality by allowing us to continue our growth as not only a publication but as writers.

Sincerely,
The Film Daze Team
