Film Daze Cinema Club
This is where the fun begins
Over the last several years, we noticed a large interest in our weekly film recommendations. In the past, we would suggest a movie of the day, perhaps a double feature for the week, or even a limited series for our followers to watch and then discuss.
But the coolest thing we have done was when we introduced a monthly film club (Pick 3, See 3) where we randomly paired you up with a partner and you both give each other 3 films to watch for the month. We vastly overestimated how many people would participate. Though fun, it was overwhelming for our small staff so we had to, unfortunately, halt the film club…till now.
Without further ado, this month is the official start of our Cinema Club (Film Daze Cinema Club is pending but reads like “FDCC” lol.) Each month our staff and other guests will be curating movies for you to watch and discuss through the use of Letterboxd. This isn’t a book report or us telling you to watch something.
With Letterboxd and Substack, we sincerely want to build bonds with our readers and develop a community (not a fan base). Recommending movies and talking about what we have recently watched will naturally result in more discussion. We are essentially creating an open dialog with our readers where we just share our passion for cinema.
